Please take the time to review these Terms of Service before our consultation. By proceeding with our services, you agree to them, and your acceptance is confirmed on the sleep diary provided.

Disclaimer

Thank you for choosing Nurtured Bub. The services provided by Nurtured Bub do not replace medical, nutritional, psychological, or therapeutic care, nor do they substitute professional counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or any other form of medical care. If you have concerns about your health or your child’s wellbeing, we advise consulting with a qualified healthcare professional.

Expectations

Our consultations and support are educational, informative, and designed to guide you through your parenting challenges. However, each family and child is unique, and results can vary. Nurtured Bub does not endorse or recommend night weaning for children under 18 months unless medically necessary. We never advocate for "cry-it-out" methods or any variations of it, such as controlled comforting or spaced soothing.

We strive to provide information that is evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and in line with your parenting philosophy. We always respect your attachment to responsive parenting. We will not ask you to engage in practices that make you uncomfortable, including stopping breastfeeding or bed-sharing, as long as these practices align with your family's needs.

Inclusive and Respectful Service

Nurtured Bub is committed to offering an inclusive and non-judgmental service. We do not discriminate on the grounds of race, sexual orientation, parenting style, disability, cultural beliefs, marital status, or religion. If there are any specific considerations you would like us to be aware of, please let us know before the consultation begins.

Scope of Practice

By working with Nurtured Bub, you understand that we are here to collaborate with you rather than dictate a course of action. Our role is to offer recommendations based on our expertise and experience, but it is up to you to decide which strategies to implement.

As a certified IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and Holistic Sleep Coach, our guidance is limited to these areas of expertise. Any other questions or issues should be directed to the appropriate professionals.

By engaging with Nurtured Bub, you agree to:

  1. Follow safe sleep guidelines.

  2. Disclose any medical conditions that could impact your child’s sleep.

  3. Understand that our primary responsibility is the welfare of your child, and should any concerns arise, we are obligated to report these to the relevant safeguarding or healthcare authorities. This will always be discussed with you unless immediate safety is at risk.

  4. Recognize that all personal details shared with us are kept securely and are never disclosed to third parties.

  5. Ensure payment is made at the time of booking.

  6. Keep any provided sleep plans or advice for your personal use only, as it may not be appropriate for others outside your family.

Cancellation Policy and Rescheduling Policy

You may cancel your appointment at any time if you feel our services aren’t the right fit. For cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance, there is no charge. However, cancellations within 24 hours of the consultation will incur a $50 fee. If Nurtured Bub needs to cancel, we will work with you to reschedule at a convenient time.

In certain cases, after assessing your specific needs, we may recommend an alternative approach or practitioner. Should this happen, you will receive a full refund, regardless of the appointment timing.

Rescheduling is free when requested at least 24 hours before your initial consultation, offering flexibility to adjust your appointment if needed.

Follow-Up and Availability

Follow-up support is included based on the package you select. This may involve scheduled calls or communication via email/WhatsApp, with a 24-hour response time (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Nurtured Bub operates from Perth, Australia (AWST - Australian Western Standard Time). We do our best to accommodate clients in other time zones but generally respond to emails and calls between 9am-9pm AWST. If there is no contact from your side for an extended period, we will assume that you no longer require ongoing support.
